The LPGA Tour is excited to continue our work with Dow to make our organization one of the leading professional sports organizations in sustainability and the fight against climate change. Our staff is engaged, our community is engaged and our partners are engaged, and we are excited to expand our climate action efforts in collaboration with Dow, our Official Sustainability Resource.

As we join our friends and partners at the Ladies European Tour with our own ‘Celebrating the Green’ digital hub, the LPGA will build upon the work that’s already being done in diversity, equity and inclusion – an area that the LPGA has been a proud driver of in recent years – by reexamining our social and environmental responsibility and making the changes necessary to further our sustainability efforts. The LPGA is taking this responsibility and opportunity very seriously and we recognize the urgency in what the United Nations has called a “decade of action.”

Please join the LPGA in making sustainability a priority in order to make a difference in our communities, in the world around us and for future generations to come. We can’t do it without you!

The LPGA and our partners recognize our role in sustainability and understand that positive action is required now to protect the environment, encourage community engagement, and promote diversity.

  • The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outline 17 key initiatives that seek to guide businesses and society globally towards a more sustainable future. The SDGs have been adopted by all United Nations Member States and are a part of the larger 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
  • The SDGs also serve as a blueprint for how the LPGA has formulated a strategy around sustainability. Through initial mapping, there are 7 key areas which are directly relevant to the LPGA and can be meaningfully contributed towards: good health and wellbeing, gender equality, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life on land, and partnerships for the goals.

Over the coming months, the LPGA will continue to build out plans around affecting change and starting with the above SDGs. With the combined efforts of our tournaments, players, partners, fans, and corporate staff, we are committed to doing our part for sustainability.
